Hawaii 2008 - Part 6

Sunset on Ho' okena Beach. We had a great time boogie boarding here. Nicole was really going for it. Maddie loved playing in the sand and running away from the incoming waves.

Nicole and Marie get a nice ride at Ho' okena Beach.

Kahalu' u Beach was really great. We saw sea turtles and could almost touch the fish. Marie and Dave boogie boarded and Papa Daddy and Aunt Nicole surfed a little but mostly got rocked by the waves and the current.

Playtime. Who needs a nap when there is fun to be had?

Hawaii 2008 - Part 4

Hapuna Beach was great for boogie boarding and fun for the kids (of all ages). Great waves, nice sand, lots of people having fun.

Maddie caught some nice rides. Way to go surfer girl.

Maddie helped Aunt Linda find her toes. Giggles galore.

Nicole, Marie, and Dave all caught this wave and had a nice ride.

Hawaii 2008 - Part 3

We had a wonderful day kayaking and snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay with Aunt Nicole, Marie and Dave. This is where the Captain Cook monument. Premo snorkeling and awesome lava flows to explore with large waves crashing.

On 2/23 we hiked to this really cool crater on a rare clear day. What a treat.

Hawaii 2008 - Part 1

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We were in Kailua-Kona visiting Linda and Helmut. They were fantastic hosts and very gracious. So much to do and see. True paradise. There are many unique beaches for different activities: snorkeling, boogie boarding, kayaking, and general playing in the sand, etc.

Near the Four Seasons Beach (forgot the name, but gorgeous)
