Kayak Competition in Steamboat (Memorial Day Weekend)

The weather on the last day of our trip was great. We went for a hike at Fish Creek Falls and got to watch part of a kayak competition. It was really neat.

We stopped for a photo opt on the bridge at Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat.

The river was really raging. We have never seen it this high before.

We lucked out and got to see a kayak competition. Here is a kayaking contestant on the first part of the course.

Here is another contestant. It was a gnarly course and they were finishing it in about 5 minutes.

Down in town there was a freestyle competition as well. Some of the contestants were pulling all kinds of tricks. Some of them were doing flips and cartwheels.

I really enjoyed watching them. Wow, these guys and gals really have the skills to pay the bills. Posted by Picasa

Camping in Steamboat (Memorial Day weekend)

We went on our second camping trip of the season. Well, we camped the first night anyway. We wimped out and got a room in town the second night because rain snow were in the forecast and it was getting colder.

We are camping. I like camping.

I'm telling Papa a joke.

Checkout my new camp chair. It is just my size.

Momma made blueberry pancakes for breakfast on our camp stove (which we apparently never clean).

Here is my Momma.

Look at all the stuff we brought. Is all this necessary? Will it all fit in our car? Maybe Summit and Maya will have to ride on the roof rack.

Here is self-timed group photo opp. Posted by Picasa

Watering the flowers

I am helping Momma water the flowers. I can't get enough of playing in and pouring water. Not sure what it is but I sure do like it.

This is one looks thirsty too.

Now I am going to arrange them just so. Posted by Picasa

Camping in Fruita (Part 1)

We took our first camping trip of the year. We camped in Fruita, CO in the Colorado National Monument. We camped with Mary, Drew, and my buddy Nora. We had a great time and the grownups took turns mountain bike riding. The weather was hot but perfectly clear. It was a great trip and we look forward to camping again soon.

Here is an early morning shot of Papa and me. It looks like another glorious day in paradise.

Here is a shot our new family-sized tent. It doesn't look like much but it big enough to park the car in. Check out the view too.

I really enjoyed exploring around the campsite looking for treasures. What a great place for a kid!

Welcome to our humble abode. Please, come on in and have a look. In the left wing we have the pack-n-play. In the right wing we have a queen-sized mattress, luggage, and room for 2 Goldens. We could have a party in here.

Here is a shot of us lovely gals.

Here we have some "back-of-the-car" fun. Anything for a little entertainment. Posted by Picasa

Camping in Fruita (Part 2)

Momma and Mary went on some great mountain bike rides with spectacular views.

Nora and I played at the campsite and had a great time.

Here is a picture of Papa and me. Look at the view behind us. Pretty neat.

Nora and I played in the dirt a lot. These crackers taste even better with a little bit of nature on them... Posted by Picasa
